Paquiao Admits That He Used Drugs

Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao admits drug use, despite his close personal friendship with President Duterte who has declared a war on drugs.
The boxing star, who was elected as a senator in May, said he backed president Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs and claimed that the leader was chosen by God to "discipline the people".
Since taking office in June, Mr Duterte has put the crackdown at the core of presidency and said it will not stop "until the last drug manufacturer is killed".
According to police, 3,171 drug dealers and users have been killed - two thirds by unknown assailants and the rest in police operations.
Pacquiao, 37, said: "The president, he doesn't know my experience with drugs.
"I tried drugs…many kinds of drugs, all kinds of drugs."
The boxer said his substance abuse happened for years "before I became a champion".
He added it was unfair to blame the drugs-related death toll on Mr Duterte.
Pacquiao said: "God put him there for a reason, for purpose - to discipline the people.
"In the past administrations, people didn't respect the law, the leader, the authorities.
"What Duterte is trying to do is let the people know - and put it in their heart and minds - that you need to respect the laws of the land."
The boxer, who is the godfather of Mr Duterte's grandson, is a close ally of the president.
In his first speech in the senate, Pacquiao backed Mr Duterte's drugs crackdown by calling for the death penalty to be reinstated for dealers.
Pacquiao also fronted a motion to oust the chair of a high-profile committee examining the president's links to vigilante death squads in Davao.
The 37-year-old's comments come after Mr Duterte sparked outrage by calling Barack Obama a "son of a whore" while warning the US president not to question him about extrajudicial killings.
Despite the fall-out, Pacquiao asserted that the Philippine president is "a nice guy".
He said: "(Mr Duterte) is a respectful person, a hospitable person, a friendly person."

New York Times Blames for Drug and EJK issue 'It was Aquino's and Liberal. Laziness and Unwillingness to Solve the Country’s Problems'

THE New York Times reported that the Philippines problem on drugs can be traced back to the President Rodrigo Duterte’s predecessor, Benigno Aquino III.
“It might seem that the Philippines’ trouble began when it elected Mr. Duterte, a brash provincial politician who has for decades embraced extrajudicial killings as a legitimate method of crime control," NY Times said in a report.
"But the true roots of the problem can be traced to the administration of Mr. Duterte’s predecessor, Benigno Aquino III. That is because, experts say, the true cause of this kind of extrajudicial violence is the public’s loss of confidence in state institutions and its turning instead to more immediate forms of punishment and control," it added.
In 2010, Aquino was elected on high hopes that he will support the rule of law and human rights. However he failed to fix the Philippines’ corrupt and ineffective justice system.
During his administration, he also faced a series of security-related scandals, including a hostage crisis in Manila in 2010.
"And, perhaps most critical, Mr. Aquino was perceived as lazy and soft, unwilling to take the necessary steps to solve the country’s problems," NY Times said.
With the previous administration's failures to respond the Filipinos' needs and frustration with the government’s inability to provide basic security, the people demanded a new kind of leadership that would take more decisive action to provide security, thus President Duterte's election.
When people begin to see the justice system as thoroughly corrupt and broken, they feel unprotected from crime. That sense of threat makes them willing to support vigilante violence, which feels like the best option for restoring order and protecting their personal safety.
Gema Santamaria, a professor at the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology in Mexico City who studies lynchings and other forms of vigilante killings, and José Miguel Cruz, the research director at Florida International University’s Latin American and Caribbean Center, used survey data from across Latin America to test what leads people to support extrajudicial violence.
The data told a very similar story across all of the countries in their sample. People who didn’t have faith in their country’s institutions were more likely to say vigilante violence was justified.
Leaders like Mr. Duterte have a political incentive to exploit this sentiment, marketing their willingness to go around the system to prove that they are willing to do whatever it takes to solve the country’s problems.
“When you have a weak government that faces a security crisis and also a crisis of trust of the people, the issue of promising more punishment is a shortcut to gain citizens’ confidence, to gain support,” Ms. Santamaria said.

Lawyer: Jaybee Sebastian Wish To Tell All Only President Duterte About Drug In Bilibid

Jaybee Sebastian will speak about his knowledge of the drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison only with President Rodrigo Duterte, his lawyer said on Wednesday, hours after the high-profile inmate was hurt in a riot inside the prison compound.
In a live interview on GMA News TV's QRT, Sebastian's lawyer Edgar Arriba said the incident showed that there was a clear and present danger to the inmate's life.
"Napakarami niyang alam," said Arriba. "Ayaw niyang magsalita dahil lalong manganganib ang buhay niya."
Arriba said Sebastian told him: "Magsasalita lang ako sa presidente."
Sebastian was the most prominent name that surfaced in last week's House of Representatives hearing on the illegal drug trade inside the national penitentiary, with fellow inmates linking him to Senator Leila De Lima. Duterte has tagged De Lima for allowing narcotics to proliferate inside the NBP while she was justice secretary.
De Lima, a vocal critic of Duterte, has denied the links, saying that Sebastian was a government asset.
Arriba declined to answer when asked if this was true.
Sebastian underwent surgery on Wednesday after the riot, which left another high-profile inmate Tony Co dead and two others hurt.
Arriba said Sebastian did not want to court the ire of either the previous administration or the current one.

'Not normal prison riot'
Alvarez, however, doubts that the incident at the NBP on Wednesday morning was just a normal prison riot.
"I don't think so. Kasi, bakit naman of all those years eh bakit ngayon lang sila magpapatayan diyan sa loob? Targeted pa 'yung intended resource persons noong committee on justice," said Alvarez.
(I don't think so. After all these years, why are they only killing each other inside just now? The intended resource persons of the committee on justice were targeted.)
The House panel already plans to subpoena the following individuals for the next hearing on October 5:
Jaybee Sebastian
Ronnie Dayan, De Lima's former bodyguard and driver with whom she allegedly has an affair, and her alleged bagman
Jonel Sanchez, De Lima's bodyguard and alleged bagman
Franklin Jesus Bucayu, former Bureau of Corrections chief
Reginald Villasanta, former Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission executive director
Alvarez reiterated that the House of Representatives, composed mostly of allies of President Rodrigo Duterte, is not out to condemn De Lima.
Wala tayong prino-prosecute. This is not a criminal proceeding," said Alvarez.
(This investigation we're doing at the House of Representatives is often misinterpreted that we are trying somebody. That's why they're mentioning the hearsay rule. We're not prosecuting anyone here. This is not a criminal proceeding.)
De Lima is one of the staunchest critics of the President, leading a Senate investigation into the rising extrajudicial killings as Duterte wages war against drugs.
De Lima has since been ousted as Senate committee on justice and human rights chairperson and was replaced by Senator Richard Gordon. She remains as a member of the committee. (READ: De Lima says Duterte plotted her ouster)
According to Alvarez, he already told the House committee on justice chairperson, Oriental Mindoro Representative Reynaldo Umali, to refrain from recommending the prosecution of any individual once they finish the hearings and craft the committee report.
"Ang kinakailangan natin dito ay maglabas tayo ng isang panukalang batas kung saan ma-address natin 'yung problema sa [New] Bilibid Prison (What we need is a law that would address the problem at the NBP),"

In a surveillance video obtained by radio dzBB's Allan Gatus, the former actress, Karen Pallasigue in real life, was seen using shabu.

Mugshots of the former actress were also released by the police.

Sabrina M.'s arrest came after incoming Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority chairman Martin Diño revealed that at least 50 celebrities are included in President Rodrigo Duterte's drug list.

Diño said at least 10 of the celebrities on the list are drug pushers and the rest are mostly party drugs users.

Di bababa sa 50 artista mula sa iba't ibang TV networks, pasok sa bagong drug list

VIRAL TODAY: KUNG SI ROXAS NAG PRESIDENTE BAKA PATI ASO MO MAGING ADIK NA!

MAYOR MAGDALENO PEÑA of Negros made a statement in a video that goes viral online.

On the video the Mayor said that " Ang Negros made an honest mistake, Majority voted for Roxas who got 640K votes while Duterte only had 270K votes. If Mar Roxas, won, well he won here in Negros, but if the Philippines is like negros baka pati aso mo maging drug addict."

We understand why the Mayor made such a statement. If Tuwid na Daan let this drugs flourish in such a scary scale, then additional 6 more years is definitely a downfall of this country.

MEGA SHABU LABORATORY, NATAGPUAN SA MT. ARAYAT, PAMPANGA

A clandestine illegal drugs laboratory that had the potential to produce 100 kilograms of methamphetamine hydro-chloride (shabu) per day was discovered by local officials and policemen in a remote village at the foot of Mt. Arayat on Thursday, September 22.

Arayat town mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino said he was with a team of policemen, sanitation officers, and fire protection officers when they tried to inspect the gated and fenced property in Barangay Lacquios.

“But when the two Chinese-looking men inside saw us, they quickly ran and jumped over the high concrete fence at the back of the compound,” he said.

Policemen tried to pursue them but since they had to go around the fenced compound, they lost the suspects in the bushes.

PDEA Region III information officer Glen Guillermo told Rappler the machines and equipment inventoried by the agency inside the compound include a combustion tower setup, a diesel-powered power generator, one industrial chiller, a set of power controllers, 7 units of industrial distillation setup, and a reaction mixer.

Pampanga provincial police director Senior Supt. Rodolfo Recomono Jr. told reporters that a gas chromatography machine was also discovered inside the compound and was placed under the custody of the police crime laboratory.

“This gas chromatography, according to the crime lab, determines the purity or quality of shabu, the finished product. It is now in the custody of the crime lab,” he said.

Quoting crime laboratory officers, Recomono said the apparatus found inside the illegal drugs laboratory can produce 100 kilos or more shabu per day.

“This shabu laboratory is bigger than the one discovered in Camiling, Tarlac a few years ago. It could be the biggest clandestine shabu lab in the Philippines. The syndicate responsible for establishing this lab might have thought that it would not be discovered since it is located at the foot of the mountain and is surrounded by piggeries and poultices,” he said.

Leila de Lima: Let Jaybee Sebastian Testify

Senator Leila de Lima on Thursday said inmate Jaybee Sebastian, who had been accused as the one who pooled money inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) for her 2016 senatorial bid, is actually a government asset.

“Yes, that’s true,” De Lima said when asked by the media if Sebastian was indeed a government asset as claimed by Magdalo party-list Rep. Gary Alejano.

“The reason why I’m saying he’s an asset is to dispel yung mga maling haka-haka, insinuations that the reason why hindi muna siya sinama sa Bilibid 19 is because favored, protektado and lalo na yung insinuations na yan siya kumolekta ng pera [para] sa akin,” De Lima said at a press conference.

De Lima then dared the House committee investigating the alleged illegal drug operations inside the NBP to invite Sebastian to the probe.

“Let him address that. If he wants to testify, let him address that,” she said.

2014 RAID SA BILIBID LEAD BY BUCAYU AND GARBO, PALABAS LANG UMANO

In the House hearing Wednesday, ‎Aguirre said that Magalong “doubled” the strength of the cases to be filed against de Lima whose high-profile December 2014 raid of the NBP didn’t include the operation’s original planners – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – who codenamed their plan ‘Cronus.’

“Even as of yesterday, we have enough evidence to file this case. But now we believe that with General Magalong’s statement, ‎the strength of our case has double,” said Aguirre.

Aguirre said that it was clear that de Lima’s raid – which resulted into the transfer of 19 drug lords to the maximum security prison while leaving de Lima’s alleged pet inmate, Jaybee Sebastian, ‎as the top dog in the Bilibid trade – was all for show when only her cohorts from the Bureau of Corrections led the raid and only K-9 dogs were brought and not the PDEA agents.

Aside from de Lima, the NBP raid was then led by then BuCor Chief Franklin Bucayu, then Police Deputy Director General Marcelo Garbo, and then Philippine Anti-Organized Crime Commission executive director. Magalong said the three former generals were classmates at the Philippine Military Academy Class +f 1981.

May 30 Witness Ang Lalantad Bukas Sa DOJ Laban Kay De Lima.

President Pnoy Shock Questioning A Student About Yolanda Funds!

Tito Sotto Kakasuhan Ang Witness Ni De Lima Na Si Matobato

Duterte has expressed his desire to build on the stellar accomplishments of the administration of outgoing president Benigno Aquino III, particularly the latter’s good governance initiatives and critical structural reforms that transformed the Philippines from being “the sick man of Asia” into “Asia’s rising tiger.” Of his ten-point socioeconomic agenda revealed on Monday, June 20, for example, his first point was to continue and maintain current macroeconomic policies, including fiscal, monetary and trade policies.

However, he intends to depart from Aquino’s legacy of instituting slow but steady macroeconomic reform by advancing an economic agenda which seeks to upgrade, accelerate as well as expand the government’s basic services that shall render the country’s macroeconomic environment more conducive for the flourishing of businesses, influx of investments and conduct of seamless trade within the country and the greater ASEAN region. Some megaprojects worth anticipating include: (a) three major railway systems, namely the Mindanao railway, Manila-Bicol railway, and Manila-Batangas railway; (b) Zamboanga Ecozone, Southern Mindanao Growth Corridor (General Santos growth corridor and Davao Gulf Industrial corridor); and the South Mindanao-North Sulawesi ro-ro link, among others.

Duterte intends to overcome the alleged structural dissonance between macroeconomic reform which has been the hallmark of Aquino’s “Daang Matuwid” program and concrete improvement of living conditions and standards of Juan dela Cruz. In doing so, he has talked about pursuing the following: generation of domestic jobs; increase of employment; abolition of contractualization; promotion of livelihood; agricultural modernization; and entrepreneurial, technological and industrial advancement with just taxation and equitable distribution of wealth while caring for the environment for sustainable development.

Tatlong C-130 Aircraft Ng PAF Idadagdag Ni Pangulong Duterte

Trillanes to Cayetano: "Di kita papopormahin"

At the Senate hearing on EJK, Trillanes says Cayetano went beyond his limits, since he wasn't a member of the justice committee:

Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV expressed irritation over Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano’s long line of questioning while the other charged him with talking trash to “keep his mind out of the game.”

He even accused her of “lawyering” for witness Edgar Matobato.

As soon as Trillanes took the seat beside Cayetano, he asked De Lima if there is an “unli-questioning” allotted for a nonmember of the committee.
“I think we gave him (Cayetano) more than an hour of leeway for a nonmember. That’s a luxury and now as a member, I assert my right. Otherwise, I might be moved to declare Senator Cayetano out of order for consuming the time of the committee,” Trillanes said.

Trillanes, Pinatayan Ng Mikropono Si Cayetano

"I'm not saying these aren't mine but I'm helping some Filipinos," he said. "It was given to people who want it."

The first hearing in the case against Sen. De Lima will lead by Sen. Tito Sotto

The Senate committee on ethics and privileges is set sit down on Tuesday to decide on whether or not to give due course to the complaint filed against Sen. Leila de Lima over her alleged links to the drug trade.

Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III, the committee chair, said Wednesday that  the seven-member body will meet to decide whether the complaint, filed by lawyer Abelardo de Jesus in August, is sufficient in form and substance.

He said the matter of jurisdiction might also be decided on the committee’s meet, its second this session.

“We will decide on Tuesday morning what are the next steps that we will be taking…  We’ll try to settle everything,” Sotto told reporters.

He said the meeting will not be confidential.
The complainant has not been invited, as the committee is still going to make initial discussions on the case.

“We will act on the complaint first. We’ll inform him, we’ll decide what to do next in that particular meeting on Tuesday,” he said.

The committee had first met on Aug. 30, an organizational meeting when members were given copies of the complaint. In filing the ethics complaint, De Jesus said he had no personal knowledge of De Lima’s alleged drug links and that he had based his complaint on President Duterte’s accusations against the Senator.

Davao Night Market Blast Yesterday Night

"An explosion of still unverified cause occurred at the Davao night market resulting in the death of at least 10 persons and around 60 people injured. While no one has yet claimed responsibility it is best that the populace refrain from reckless speculation and avoid crowded places. There is no cause for alarm, but it is wise to be cautious," ani Abella.

ASSASSINATION OF DUTERTE NOT ACCOMPLISH!
